WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS IN HIGHEST DEMAND

#1 SURVIVOR TO PROVIDER

This seminar examines the historical trauma of slavery and defacto/dejure segregation and explains how that historical trauma impacts the black family in modern day America.  This seminar explores a multitude of solutions to reverse the effects of these historical traumas; including the reemergence of strong male leadership in the household and the community.

#2 COMBATING THE EFFECTS OF FATHERLESSNESS

This workshop (primarily for teachers, single mothers, and grandparents) explores the five functions of behavior in black boys and what triggers these behaviors.  This workshop also discusses strategies to neutralize and improve those behaviors.

#3 HOW TO EDUCATE,  MOTIVATE AND EMPOWER BLACK BOYS

This is a professional development seminar for educators, human service professionals, and law enforcement.  It explores the importance of cultural competence and educates participants on the importance of understanding the background, environment, family life, and socialization process of black boys to improve one’s ability to educate them, interact with them, understand them, and serve them.

#4 VOCATION, PASSION, AND PURPOSE

This fun and interactive workshop challenges youth of all ages to avoid all things bad for the body (including: alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs)  but more importantly it empowers them to visualize their dreams and purpose for their livers.  This workshop gives meaning and undersstand to the term self-determination, and will leave your youth thinking about plans for their future.

MOTIVATION VS. EMPOWERMENT

“I can use my words and message to motivate a group of people to take a trip around the world, but without money, a plane, or a boat ti will NEVER happen.  Empowerment is giving that group the tools they need to take a trip around the world after you motivate them!” - EEM
